REP WAX HELPS LIFT BOX SUBSCRIBERS

GET A HANDLE ON THEIR WORKOUTS

At The Lift Box, we're here to help you handle your workout routine and find all the things that will allow you to perform at your best.

Whether it's snacks, drinks, supplements, gear or apparel, the monthly box is your opportunity to try things from a multitude of companies, before committing to a full-size version.

We know everyone has their preferences, suggestions and secrets to success in the gym, and we now want to introduce you to one of ours, which is featured in the April 2021 edition of The Lift Box - Rep Wax.

Since announcing Rep Wax as part of the April box, we've gotten inquiries about what exactly it is and how it is used. In addition to the wax, subscribers in April also are receiving one of the company's custom scrapers to remove the wax from equipment when the workout is done.

Much like surf wax is used by surfers, bodyboarders and skimboarders to keep them from slipping off their boards while riding waves, Rep Wax serves a similar role for gymgoers handling all the bars, dumbbells and other equipment they encounter during their workouts.

Though some quick trial-and-error research showed the Rep Wax team that actual surf wax wasn't as effective in the gym as it is in the water, the concept was sound and definitely could fit as an effective alternative to traditional gym chalk, a timeless option for the fitness- and sports-minded.

Rep Wax can be applied directly to your favorite piece of equipment to ensure you have a proper grip. It also offers a protective barrier between your hands and the object you're gripping, ultimately helping you avoid blisters or tears in your skin.

Depending where your workouts take place, Rep Wax is durable enough to remain in place for multiple training sessions. Of course, if you're not working out at home, remember to check with the staff at your gym to make sure it's OK to use something like Rep Wax.

Beyond just allowing you to properly hold on to those pull-up bars and kettlebells, Rep Wax also is formulated to help make sure the only thing you walk away with is a personal record, not a handful of germs and bacteria.

The organic and natural ingredients in Rep Wax have antimicrobial, antibacterial and antiviral properties, with more testing underway to help make sure your time at the gym is both safe and healthy. After all, how good can your workout be, if you're sick and stuck in bed?

During the uncertain times and challenges we've all been dealing with for the last year, gym visits may have been few and far between, and as we work our way back to normal, these extra details and efforts hopefully will assist in getting things back to normal quicker.

Using Rep Wax is simple and broken into four basic steps at repwax.com:

1. Rub Rep Wax directly on clean surface where hands will be placed.

2. Apply generously.

3. Continue to apply until the wax forms bumps.

4. Crush your workout!

Rep Wax can be purchased on the site as a single bar ($9.99), a two-pack ($18.99) or in packs of six ($49.99). There's also a custom scraper available in packs of three ($9.99) or 10 ($24.99) to make sure the equipment is wax-free when you're done.

Again, our goal at The Lift Box is to give you access to tools with those workout-crushing properties.

Some you may love. Some you may not. The variety also gives you a chance to compare, before investing too much into something that may not be right for you or your routine.

In January, Lift Box subscribers had a chance to try another new alternative to traditional gym chalk - Vigilant Liquid Chalk.

Liquid Chalk provides all the same benefits, but with less of a mess than actual chalk. Plus, it smells amazing.

If you've had the chance to try both, please visit us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) to tell us about your experiences and which one you like best.

Everything that appears in the monthly box has been tested and vetted by the Lift Box staff for taste, quality, comfort and durability, but it is feedback and suggestions from subscribers that often dictates what some of the products might be.

A monthly subscription to The Lift Box is $39.95. Each box includes a shirt and a variety of items to help make every workout a personal best.
